Khandwa is a calm town in Madhya Pradesh known for its religious importance, river views, and local heritage. It is also the birthplace of Kishore Kumar and a common base for visiting Omkareshwar. This 3-day itinerary covers the main attractions at a relaxed pace.


Day 1 – Khandwa City Sightseeing and Temples


Morning

  • Start your day by exploring the heart of Khandwa city. Visit the historic Ghantaghar area and the four traditional water tanks nearby. These places give a good introduction to the town’s old layout and daily life.

Afternoon

  • After lunch, visit Dada Dhuni Wale Darbar, one of the most respected spiritual places in Khandwa. Spend some quiet time here and observe the devotion of local visitors.
  • Later, visit Tulja Bhavani Mata Temple and Nav Chandi Devi Dham, both important temples with peaceful surroundings.

Evening

  • Walk through the local market area. This is a good time to explore small shops, street food, and interact with locals. Return to your hotel for rest.

Day 2 – Omkareshwar and Narmada River

  • Leave early for Omkareshwar, located around 70 km from Khandwa.

Morning
